Otter watch, sighting hotline set up
29 Mar
No signs today of an otter missing from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. He was one of 4 otters that breached their fencing on Thursday.
The zoo has now set up an “Otter Hotline.” They ask that you call 648-7438 if you see the animal. Zoo officials say if you see it don’t approach it, just call the hotline and if possible take a picture or video.
Otters are indigenous to Colorado. That means the snow storm shouldn’t have bothered him too much. Zoo officials believe he will likely be looking for fish.
